From Messy Moments to Meaningful Connections: Addressing Rupture and Repair within the Play Therapy Room

About this event

From Messy Moments to Meaningful Connections: Addressing Rupture and Repair within the Play Therapy Room

Healing doesn’t happen in perfection it happens in the messy moments!

Ready to turn those tough, tangled moments in the playroom into opportunities for deeper healing, growth, and connection?

This experiential training will equip you with the tools you need to navigate ruptures with confidence — all through the playful, powerful lens of Play Therapy, Sandtray, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches.

And yes, we’ll be PLAYING while we learn  because that’s where the magic happens!

What You'll Learn:

Across three immersive sessions (12 CEs), you’ll discover how to:

Repair ruptures between therapist and child with playful presence and Self-led curiosity

Support repair between parent and child using creative and relational techniques

Navigate your own internal system as the therapist when ruptures stir up your parts

Integrate sandtray, expressive arts, and IFS-informed interventions to repair and strengthen therapeutic alliances

Create playful opportunities for reconnection, emotional regulation, and building trust

Why You Should Attend:

Let’s be honest: ruptures are inevitable even in the most connected, compassionate therapy rooms.

It’s not the rupture itself that defines the relationship... it’s what happens next.

Children (and their parents) are watching to see:

  • Can we reconnect after hard feelings?
  • Can we find safety even when mistakes happen?
  • Can love and trust grow stronger through challenge?

This training teaches you how to show them the answer is a resounding YES using the power of play, creativity, and relationship to guide the repair process.

When you know how to skillfully address ruptures:

  • You deepen trust.
  • You model resilience.
  • You build emotional safety that transforms lives.

Because healing isn't about getting it right every time it's about reconnecting with heart every time it matters.

What’s Included:

  • Hands-on Sandtray Techniques
  • Creative Play Therapy Activities
  • Parts Mapping for Kids & Families
  • Repair Rituals & Reconnection Exercises

Experiential Learning + Live Practice Opportunities

You’ll leave with ready-to-use tools you can bring straight into your sessions  because healing should be heartfelt and practical.
